"To me it was just
a human being crawling. Then the more I drew it and the more the proportion of
the head got bigger, the more it got referred to as the baby. So when they were
on the street I would do it as different configurations of these crawling humans
and animal things. Now they are often referred to as babies and dogs. In the beginning
I really thought of them as human image and animal image."
