"I'm continuing to
make drawings on paper at this time. Many times I do drawings that I've got the
idea from the subway then I'll do them in the studio. Same style, but with ink
and a brush instead of chalk, or with marker on plastic. In the studio sometimes
I would come up with an idea while I'm drawing and then I'll take that into the
subway. So the studio and the subway start to grow together. The subway becomes
a drawing workshop to develop my ideas...for the vocabulary to keep expanding,
to keep it growing.."
